Clitheroe is signed posted from the A59, the HQ is located approx 1 mile from Clitheroe town centre direction Bashall Eaves.

14 laps of the small Bashall Eaves circuit. The event is run as a handicap.

Scoring his second consecutive win Kevin Dawson soloed his way around the 14 laps. With over 8 and half minutes start the fouth cats losed the plot pretty soon going the wrong way on the first lap, after a bit of regroupment 4 of them managed to keep away for 10 laps with a lot of hard work. The second cats set off well in pursuit but a large group meant not every body wanted to work, although Kevin Dawson expressed douths of seeing the group again on the start line. He need n't have worried as they all fell out with each other and were caught after a quarter of the race. With 4 laps to go Kevin Dawson dragged 6 away and from there to the finish rode them off his wheel one by one.
