A new batch of club clothing has arrived at Alans, Jerseys,
armwarmers and legwarmers. Prices are £15 for armwarmers and £20
for legwarmers.

OF THE VAUCLUSE
Craig Entwistle wins the big one, The Championship of the
Department of the Vaucluse. Craig broke free on his own to win to become
the first Brit to win the championship. FULL

GANG
A chain gang has started on tuesday nights as scale hall
is shut for a month. Meet in whalley 6.30pm.ride out and one lap of big
bash circuit (steady) warm up then approx 5 laps of triangle with sprint
finish, then ride back to whalley.

TRAINING
WEEKEND
The annual training Weekend was held on the 16/17th February.
For once we had fantasic weather for both days. Saturdays ride of 90 miles
was around the Lakes with a short stop at Coniston. Sundays rides went
round the Circuit of Dales route with a stop at Ingleton.
NEW
CLUB RUN FOR THE NOT SO FIT STARTING 20TH JANUARY
New format open new members and not so fit members. This
will be a steady ride with a cafe stop, mileage will depend on the weather.
meeting place is outside The Dog pub in Whalley at 10.00am. First run
starting 20th January.
CLAYTON
VELO ON TOP
Members of the club recently rode the giant of provence,
based with www.veloventoux.com. The members did 2 ascents on seperate
occasions, (it didn't get any easier the second time up).

Also
whilst in the area they got to meet up with the local club on the Wednesday
afternoon run, about 12 riders did 70 miles mostly in English weather
as they called it (it was raining).
